After 2 days of lazing around, gardening, napping, Desmon finally felt energized enough to ask his buddies to have a poker night at our place. We got the 2God-fathers, Frank and Eric that evening for a simple BBQ fllowed with a poker game. It was really great to see Des having is own night. You should have more Des!!!! With that, I can watch my TV series without someone in the background trying to distract me or giving me grumpy face. ^_^
Going camping with 2.5 years old toddler and 7 months young baby – are you nutz? NO and we are going camping again in a month. We went to Alice Lake. It was such a fun camping trip especially with four other awesome families with young kids. That was the first camping trip for Elisa, Viola and Adelia. And they loved it!!! Viola was having a blast – sleeping in tent with mom and dad, playing and eating with friends all day, running around in the rain, playing with flashlight, and many more. For Adelia, I can only assume that she liked it. She did attempt to eat the twigs from the forest floor.
Serene organized this picnic at the water park in Steveston. The weather was really good, not to mention the food. I love Sam’s curry and I couldn’t seem to be able to move from the table.
After the picnic, we had to go and find Adelia’s car seat. She needs an upgrade and we found one that we love, not Britax but Sunshine Kids. It was perfect for us, since it is narrow-er, we can fit a third person easily and comfortably on the side. One store to one store, we decided to get it from a baby store near us, we love the service and the people’s knowledge. We ordered it!

(have i ever told u that i dislike routine???) but having 2 kids, nothing routine about my life. Even though that is a perfect scenario for me, I seldom have a day like that. But I guarantee, never a dull moment with kids around. I laugh, I scream, I yell, I chuckle, I smile, I get upset, … I LOVE you two!!!!You make my days colorful!
I would miss taking Viola to ballet class. She had lots of fun dressing up and twirl around the room and referred herself as princess. We met lots of great moms and girls, some are even thinking of enrolling their daughters to ballet school, which cost about $15/hour class.
Yeah Playland. This is definitely a multi celebration. Celebrating Len’s bday (Viola god-dad) , Viola who is now tall enough to ride ALL of the kiddie rides. A chance for me to meet my former colleagues from McKesson and former work partner from Scotland. A great day!!
Carolyn told us about this 5K run for the Children’s Hospital and asked us whether we would love to join her. Without a doubt, I said YES! I registered Viola and I. Then,
Des: “Are you sure? Have you ever ran before?”
Me: “No! But how hard could it be?-WAIT! How far is 5K anyway?”
Des: “……”
I did managed to run/jog/stroll/walk couple of times (2x to be exact) in the preparation for this event with the hope that I wouldn’t be last at least. Yeah, I wasn’t thinking! It did need stamina. Luckily, because this event is considered a family event, most of the runners are families with children.
The feeling couple minutes before the race started was unbelievable. With all runners wearing the white shits and in high spirit, Viola and I were so thrilled to be able to be part of it. Thanks Carolyn!!! Btw, Carolyn started 2K behind me, we missed each other and managed to finish couple minutes ahead of me. Did I mention that she is 4 months pregnant?
As soon as she is able to sit without help, I placed her in our backyard for some photos of this memorable day-the day she sits. She was uncertain why I put her down on the ground and started to cry and wanted to be picked up. Then, I realized it might be the grass on the thigh that made her uncomfortable so I grabbed a small cloth and placed it under and with food, it worked! Love the 1st pic-my fav from the whole bunch.
The day that I have been waiting for is almost here-the sitting phase. With an active sister running around the house, Adelia must feel like she has been missing out. She would cry whenever I put her down, she wanna see a piece of the actions too. Her eyes would follow Viola wherever Viola is running back and forth and I did catch hr smiling at her sister’s silliness.
From these pictures, I notice how skinny Adelia is. *sigh Then, I started to wonder whether she drinks enough milk or should I add formula? I prefer chubby baby
Adelia has been a pretty cheerful baby… even with teething, it doesn’t seem to bother her. Unlike her sister, Viola would have high fever, non-stop crying and no sleeping. So, I was surprised to find a 3rd tooth only with couple days of mild fever with Adelia.
