Adelia’s first time on a swing

Published by tansuma under adelia

On this day, after taking the girls to see the doc, we stopped by at a park to have a quick walk. The girls felt asleep, so I ended up walking for 5-6km. It was a good walk till at night when my calves scream.

Anyway, today was the first time that I put Adelia on a swing. She seems to enjoy it.

Earth day-Baby tree in a plastic bag

Published by tansuma under family

I never thought I were a tree-hugger kinda person but watching the consumption of plastics these days really freak me out. With 2 kids,  the amount of diapers that I conveniently contributing to mother Earth make me want to help out in any other way that we can. We are eliminating the use of plastic bags for our groceries, composting, using energy saver bulbs, trying to grow some veggies, etc.

Today, people around the City handing out baby trees to passerby. Des got one and he planted the tree with Viola in our backyard. Ironically, I wonder why did the baby tree was in a plastic bag?? They could have given it in a paper bag. Well I guess, it is the effort that counts.

Published by tansuma under adelia

Yes…they bite really hard~ And when I screamed, she would laugh. Sometimes not looking forward to feeding time. Is that a sign to move on to solid full time?

one of our favorite picnic spot

Published by tansuma under family, outing

Initial plan: picnic at 2nd beach
Change of plan: pick Des up, order take out and head home
Executed plan: pick Des up, order take out and Des said let’s head to 2nd beach since it is warm enough.

How wrong was he… it is by the water…the wind was cold. With spare blankets and jackets in the car, we quickly had our dinner, packed our things and strolled quickly to the playground. Viola had tons of fun that day chasing Des around and it was her first time on the transition swing (which doesn’t have the front guard). Yeah!

Easter egg hunt?? What is that?

Published by tansuma under viola

We were invited by our neighbour to have a neighbourhood Easter egg hunt . Des and I didn’t know what the Easter egg hunt is all about. Paula, our neighbor gave us bunch of plastic eggs to be filled with treats (chocolates, toys, cheerios, etc) for the kids; and to mark no.7 for our family so that each kid knows which eggs belong to them. We all met at Suzanne’s house, did the egg hunt then went to Paula’s house for brunch. It was really great to finally have met all the neighbours with kids in our neighbourhood. Around 3, we went over to the Vans for another egg hunt indoor-yeah!

Anyone can help us with these questions? Why use bunny for Easter? And why bunny lays eggs around Easter??

Mini road trip to Seattle

Published by tansuma under Travel, family

We were sitting in the family room relaxing when my Ma suddenly said  “let’s go!!” The next day, we woke up at 4:30am and went on a mini road trip to Seattle-visiting the zoo and Children’s Museum. The weather wasn’t as warm as we hoped but overall, we had an awesome time.

Adelia’s first tooth is OUT!

Published by tansuma under adelia

I was surprised when my Ma told me this morning that Adelia’s first tooth is out. She is exactly 5 month today.

To celebrate her first tooth, we gave her her first porridge & Mum-mum treat.

picnic at b lake

Published by tansuma under family, outing, videos

Since the weather was finally turning to better, we went picnic with the Vans and the Fongs. The scene was again breathtaking. I love spending time there at the Lake. Carolyn made these homemade burger, it was really really good. Although we had to wait patiently for the burger due to some problem with the habachi. But when it was finally fixed and running, the wait was worth it! Oh did I mention, she also brought ice cream. What a treat for the kids.

Edwin’s steak was really good too. I couldn’t have enough. Thanks!!!!

fun fair

Published by tansuma under family

We visited the fun fair at the Mall this past Saturday. There were lots of ride for adult and kids however, the tickets for the ride ain’t cheap. Average about $4/ride. If you calculate, Disney might be cheaper. ^_^

We only allowed Viola to choose one ride and she chose the Merry-go-around. Before the carousel started, she almost backed out but as soon as it moved, she was fine.
