Tai-chi???

Published by tansuma under viola

When people say “a picture says a million words”…it is true!

We laughed so hard when Viola one day just decided to put her hat, her shoes and her gloves on and pose. Kids really do the darnest thing.

Des took a day off on the first day of the Ox year. He was glad he got to spend time with Viola in her ballet class. Viola demanded her dad to so all the “moves” with her… ha ha ha. And, I am glad that Des didn’t mind. Go butterflies! Go!!  HAHAHAHA

Happy Lunar New Year-Ox Year~

Published by tansuma under family

“除夕” or   “三十晚” is a night where the nuclear family would have dinner together, almost like Christmas dinner. After cleaning the house the whole day, and watching 2 movies back to back (“How to lose friends and alienate people” and “Vicky Christina Barcelona” , we were tired and didn’t change for dinner… it explains why we don’t have pictures of us only the kids.

The highlight of the night was the durian. Yum!

… then stop watching it dear!

Published by tansuma under viola

Viola would ask us to put on the Stallion DVD and we would. She has watched the movie tons of time. She knows how the movie ends yet she would still cry whenever the horse (Spirit) was captured. She would cry and said “No Ma!! (Ma=horse)” then she would cover her eyes and looked devastated. Ha ha ha. I have to hold her and said it is ok. When Spirit manages to run away (as always), she will scream YEAH!!! Silly?

Unbelievable

Published by tansuma under thoughts

Our office was broken in on the weekend. And unfortunately, I was the first one in the side of our office on Monday and realized the door and alarm were not locked nor armed. I did not realized that we were broken into until I were unable to find my laptop and monitor. Many other equipments were stolen as well. The  executives briefed us on Friday morning and told us that it was an internal job and one of our coworker has been arrested. He shown up very clearly on CCTV getting out of the elevator with a friend empty handed and getting into the elevator hauling equipments. Several trips of those. It feels like such a low blow and violated. It is inevitably personal info and stuffs in your computer. My greatest fear is ID theft.

Park and Lake

Published by tansuma under family, outing

Tomorrow, my dad is heading back home. Feeling suck staying home with Sunny weather, we strapped the kids in their car seat and went to nearest Park and Lake to enjoy the Sunshine. My dad said Buntzen Lake is still the best.

2 nights of crabs

Published by tansuma under cook/bake

I had made reservation for the dine out for Tuesday night but after tasting the crabs on Monday night, my dad requested another crab meal instead of the dine out. That was how we had 2 nights of crabs. First night, we had 3 crabs, and the second night, we had FIVE crabs and mussels. Yum!

We cooked the crabs in 3 ways, tomato sauce, black pepper and just simply steam it. Each has its own delicious yummy way.

And, Viola got her small “aquarium” for 30 minutes ^_^

quick trip to Cypress Mt to see ’sea of fog’

Published by tansuma under family, outing

Lunch at Phnom Penh Restaurant and bought crabs for dinner. Initially, I wanted to take them to Stanley Park but it was really foggy, so my mom suggested that we drove up to mountain. I was sure glad we did that. It was so sunny and we could see the fog blanket the whole city. It was pretty amazing.

3rd time around

Published by tansuma under viola

Here we go again! The 3rd time around, she was still attached to me. Des and I are really reluctant to pull her out of the class unless she is really unhappy. We think she was just unsure of the environment. The teacher and other parents assured me that it is pretty common. It is a good exercise for her to mingle with different kinda crowd.
