one more month to go …

Got her a cake from her favorite cake shop “Cupcakes”. And small surprise dinner at Korean restaurant. Thanks Serene for the suggestion and helping me in completing the surprise element of the dinner.

Viola has been really bored at home- especially with her toys. She managed to find ordinary stuff, mostly non-toys stuff and tried to entertain herself. I have missed some items that she used, like laundry basket, luggage, and now a box. She just decided to “move in” to the box. She would bring her cup and camp there.

Please Des…. buy her a tent!

This idea came about when we took Viola for a dine-out and boy~ she refused to use any plates or bowls for her meal. She wanted to put her food on the table. It is a big NO-NO, my dear!

Having too much spare time, my mind started to wonder and my hand started to sketch what I had in mind regarding her place mats. Showed my MIL and with some of her pointers (shortcuts), the next thing I know, I started hitting the sewing pedal. 5 hours later, here they are! I do hope Viola will put them into a good use. ^_^

Despite being sick, we really didn’t want Viola to miss this year Mid-Autumn Festival, so Desmon decided to celebrate it very small-ly. ^_^

We just bought one moon cake, 2 lanterns and 1 battery operated lantern and off we went to the new place to see the moon.

Dance baby dance … yep with runny and stuffy nose!

Viola and I have not been feeling that great these past 2 days. We develop flu symptoms-runny nose, headache (not that I know whether Viola has headache or not), stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, sore throat, etc.

Because of this, we decide to stay at home and rest. Poor Viola. I think she is really really bored that she went to her shoes rack and got me her pink boots, put them on and grabbed my finger and said “chu chi” (out).  She was out probably the most 5 minute and went back in the house,got her pillow and paci and said “sui ciau” (sleep). Ha ha ha ha.

Believe it or not, Desmon used to compete in dance competition a while back (10 years ago or more, honey???) and he was at 5th place in newcomer Latin dance. Bravo!!! What a gut he has, eh? Anyway, now I know where Viola got the dancing gene from. She just loves music, mainly dancing. We will enroll her to dance class as soon as she is eligible. ^_^

I mentioned this because while we were watching a ballroom dance competition on TV and suddenly, Viola just ran upstairs to her room and grabbed this long dress from her Nai-nai and asked us to dress her. Then, she started to twirl until her dad decided to steal her doll away (for fun???)…and she just cried and wouldn’t dance for us anymore. For sure, Desmon received a big punch on his arm from me.

Viola’s Nai-nai was really persistent in teaching her how to sit nicely while we were waiting for food or drink. She would ask Viola to fold her hands nicely as shown in the pictures. First, Desmon and I were a bit reluctant thinking that she is only 20 months and wouldn’t really understand… how wrong were we? Viola did it everytime we asked her to sit “guai-guai”.

Note: She just woke up 10 minutes ago when these pictures were taken…explaining her looks and her hair ^_^
