Des is back tomorrow night….cannot wait …(please do not have a dirty mind ^_^) cannot wait to have someone to help me with kk. Spending time alone with kk these past couple days has been very fun and stressful, I have to admit. KK has changed so much, I can see her personality more every given day. She has this strong-headed attitude, mischievous smile, and have I mentioned that she is very manipulative? at least towards me. Love u , K!
Went with some friends to take some night shots…amazing nights. Rony and Alice came over to help me watch kk, how nice of them. Thanks, guys.
Note: no post processing in the photo!!!! wuu-hhuuu…..!

We had an afternoon play date at the Vans, whom we know from the boogie baby last Fall. Jack has grown from the last time we saw him…can crawl now…YEAH! Jack has the coolest toys ever. Viola enjoyed the airplane ride lots. After the play date, we went to have dinner. We walked in and were greeted by whole tank of Alaska King Crabs… and suddenly Edwin said “Let’s have that!”….. and we DID (Sorry Des~)

The crab was amazing. It weighed around 8lbs and they made it into 4 innovative meals. Not only we had those, Edwin also ordered HaiNan Chicken, Beef, green beans and soup. We were so full….

I obtained this sewing machine couple months after Viola was born. I had always wanted to have one and the timing could not be more perfect. I was inspired by Lian Eng when we visited her home and she showed me the stuff she has made using her sewing machine, window treatments, slings, etc.
Unfortunately, sewing machine is one of the things that people forget and I consider it the “lost art”. Commonly, every ladies would know how to sew, including my grandma aka “angin” and my mom. I wanted to thread back the tradition for my own sake.
I still remember :the room was somewhat dimmed, with my grandma’s back facing me… a table lamp by her sewing machine provided her with enough light to concentrate and see. She would sew away with her tiny fingers and her tiny elderly glasses.
For my mom, she used to make my uniform which i was very embarrassed to wear it to school. Ha ha ha…thinking of those days- silly me! Thanks mom for taking the time to sew my uniform. Now I know, it was easier just to buy it than make it. But, it is the fulfillments that count.
Anyway, here it is: my own sewing machine cover. I bought the material at DRESSEW, it was on sale for $4.99/m. What a deal and it is pre-quilted. It took me the whole morning of my Saturday with Viola crawling back and forth.

We needed the fresh air after we “quarantined” ourselves at home—recovering from the stomach flu. It felt so GOOD to be well and to be out. Thanks friends and families for the concerns this past week. We are fine now~
FYI: My tourism pass is expired in 2 weeks, so if you have some tourism destination that you wanna visit, I can take one guest for free (baby is free anyway). ^_^

Viola got it first about 3 days ago, vomiting for about 8 times since 7am to about 4pm, then having diarrhea since then till now. Took her to the doctor and even the emergency at the Children’s Hospital. The doctor said she would be fine just let her body does the work…drink lots of fluid, she said.
Then, Desmon got it…vomited 5 times 2 days ago. And, then soon after it was my turn. *sigh
We spent Vday sleeping and feeling crappy. Poor Viola, no one played with her or hold her up…we both were too weak to do so.
Luckily, today, we feel better and Desmon is back to work (cross my fingers-hopefully, he is not spreading the virus to his colleague).
Thanks everyone who has been calling us and offering help!

It is called “Omakase”.
It literally means “Chef, I’m in your hands”. When you order omakase, Tojo treats you to dishes not found on his – or frequently anyone else’s – menu. Best place to try this is at Tojo’s Omakase Bar (where menus are banned). -Tojo’s website
It is a very pretty restaurant with good environment. We were greeted and showed to our table… (but, I was expecting the sushi bar), so we asked whether we could be seated at the bar. The waiter looked at us and said “that is for ‘unlimited’ Omakase. We both laughed and said “Then, we will just stay here, please”. She asked us what price range that we would like to order… $60? $80? $100? $120?. We both replied “the $60 please”. Then, the waiter suggested us to get the $80 instead since it is the most popular Omakase.
We waited with anticipation and excitement. First came our first course, it was amazingly displayed, very appealing indeed. First bite, I knew Tojo has become my most favorite Japanese restaurant. I have fallen in love with the place and the food. By the time we tasted our 3rd course, I could feel I was losing my words to describe the food and the experience. We were both kept on smiling and nodding and making the “emmm emmm” voice.
I have to say it is an amazing experience. Splendid! Awesome! Delicious!… Ichi-ban!
Oh by the way, did i mention that the $80 is for EACH person? With tips and taxes, we ended up spending $100 each person. Ouch~
Happy V-day!!!!

After the dimsum, we visited the temple for “thanking” the God, I assume for protecting our family. Viola donated and “pai-pai”. She was very content wherever we are in the temple. She seems to be very curious with the big Buddha.

This morning we went to Art-Shi Restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year with the Lulu Ladies and their families. The event was arranged by Elly cie and Sharon. Way to go, girls. We all received a fancy red pocket from the Lims with chocolate gold coin in it. Not only that, we also got a bag of goodies from them. Impressive~
It was nice to meet the moms outside of our sweaty outfit and messy hair. ^_^
