This is Viola’s first Halloween and Des’ first ‘trick or treat’. We had a great time. The Lims hosted the Halloween paty. Thanks. Great to see all the kids dressed up. Very cute

boots, moo and guu

Published by tansuma under viola

blog-boots.jpg blog-guu.jpg

Viola crawled up the stairs yesterday! Bravo! Des screamed like a little girl in shock. And, she is very mobile and fast. She keeps on facing towards my boots whenever she crawls, so Des decided to let her try them on. I don’t think she likes them.

The weekends were pretty bad. Des quarantined himself, therefore no outing for us. He was not feeling well and had to call in sick and slept in. Poor Des! I think Viola sucked up his energy pretty badly over the weekends.

Pumpkin patch

Published by tansuma under outing, viola

Finally, we were able to do pumpkin patch. Since we will be at the Lims to celebrate the trick or treat, we figured we didn’t need any pumpkins. We were just there for some pictures or memory in making. We snapped this and that and walked through the field… and because the weather was kinda cold, we decided to call it a day only after 5 minutes. We were heading to the car when i saw lots of pumpkins on platform, i headed there with the intentions to snap some pictures.

A lady asked me “how can i help you?. Nicely, I replied her i was okay and that i only wanted to take some pictures. Her smiley lips turned upside down to a frown and said “… this is not a photo studio…”. I felt embarrassed of course. I walked up to the table that she was in and saw some small and baby pumpkins for sale. I ended up buying 3 baby pumpkins and 1 small one and fled to my car. ^_^; I gave those to Elly cie for the decoration later.

For $2, and i got all these awesome pictures… he he he. It is all worth the “… this is not a photo studio…”-thing ^^

Not your typical stroll in the mall

Published by tansuma under thoughts, viola

oct-27-singtao-cover.jpg oct-27-singtao-inside.jpg

Got a call around 9am on Saturday morning from Elly, “YOU are in the paper!!!! Go get the paper!”. So, Des went to T and T to get 2 copies (1 for Sharon and Annabelle), he got home and said “I can barely see you”. I looked at the magazine and LAUGHED SO HARD that my tummy actually hurt. It was too too funny, especially compare with the inside magazine. Well better than nothing, at least Viola will have something to look at when she grows up. LOL.

Thanks to Simon for scanning the magazine. I downloaded it from Elly’s blog! As her blog said (http://elly168.blogspot.com/2007/10/mommy-ava-baby-in-sing-tao-daily.html), she has been in the newspaper/magazine for 3 times now. Way to go!!!! ^^

The magazine does give people the insights of what we do in the mall beside shop till you drop. We do exercise and I usually don’t sweat and this workout makes me sweat no-stop.

Moo-DAY (ex-coworkers’ day)

Published by tansuma under viola

potluck-margaret.jpg

Got the costume for Viola a year ago for only 49cents at Children Place and it might be getting small, so we thought might as well just let her wear once. Margaret invited us to her place for potluck (ex-Garden coworkers). It is also a try-out session for Viola meaning we might want Margaret to help us babysit if the session went well. ^^ and it did. YEAH!

We went to Lian’s for dinner with ex-tourism coworkers. Met Lenka, Silke and Meg’s family. The kids enjoyed themselves. We were so full by the time we left, just ate this and that.

I AM BORED!!

Published by tansuma under thoughts, viola

This is what happened when a mother is bored!!! (poor Viola ^_^). Man, she does look so like Desmon, especially with that nose.

Des quarantines me and Viola to stay at home since he “thinks” I might be coming down with something. Because Halloween par-tay is near, I don’t wanna be sick and cannot go to Lim’s so I listened to Des and stayed at home.

Cold stroll and a Baby Poll

Published by tansuma under outing, viola

Winter is creeping in…on NO! The stroll itself was fun, I met two nice moms and babies. The location this time was at North Vancouver, Lower Lynn Creek. Viola and I were the first to arrive and we were not sure whether we got the right place until about 20 mins into our wait, we started to see “baby on board” cars started arriving. ^^

Did a poll for Elly’s baby. I am sure you all know the site already. But, here it goes again in case you wanna participate or check who has guessed: http://www.expectnet.com/games/ava-brother. Even though, you don’t know Elly and Simon, what the heck right? Just guess for the fun of it. The more the merrier….

Boogie class and walk in the park

Published by tansuma under outing, viola

boogie.jpg lafarge-lake.jpg

3rd week of the boogie class, danced, sang songs, and learned “bird” sign language. Viola is getting more comfortable with the crowds now especially with Lucas and Jack. After the class, Serene took me to Town Centre Park for picnic, we chatted and circled Lafarge Lake. It was a beautiful afternoon and it was warm! I miss the warm weather, obviously the warm weather has travel towards Australia now.

One Fine Sun-day

Published by tansuma under family, outing, viola

We invited the Lims, the Gotham, the Fong, and the Chang to HI GENKI restaurant. We had a blast with 10 adults and 5 babies (+1 otw). Viola seemed to know the adults and the kids by now, so she didn’t cry or fuss which was a good break for Des and I.

blog-sunday-playdate.jpg

After the brunch, we invited them back to our place just to chat and let the kids play. They all seemed to be okay as well. No one fussed even though it was close the their nap time. Way to go kiddos!

blog-wrap-up.jpg

After the guests all left, Desmon finally found the baby gate hidden behind boxes of diapers. While he was trying to figure out how to assemble the gate, Sharon called and asked us out for dinner at A-LI-SAN at Crystal Mall. The hot pot was good. Then we proceeded to Superstore to get Viola a bath ring since she is too big for the sink now. What a day! Thanks all for coming!!!!!
