Viola has had lots of playdates this week. We visited Meg & Miwa. Serene & Lucas visited us. And, we met the Gotham’s family (Rob, Lian & Miles) at the Watermania and strolled at Steveston dyke.

We had a blast. Thanks! We should do it more often. Let’s do it as a whole group!!!!!!

Des and I have been very busy with our own things lately. Des is busy with his meetings at work, and I have been busy being a mom and housewife that we seldom have time for only the two of us. We tend to be upset with each other over small stuff, and argue the unecessary and never ending things. I guess that is the real side of married life. After a long walk last night with Viola, we got into talking and we realized that we need to have bonding time. We came across the idea of baking together. I love cakes and Des loves to make a mess in the kitchen. Good combo. It did not cross my mind of who loves to clean… ha ha ha (see the mess that Des created?) He insisted on putting the icing on the cake. Of course, I ended up being the one who cleaned up all his mess AGAIN! ^_^

Her milestone at this month:

I woke up this morning and felt the urge to take Viola’s pictures with the wings that we got for her when she was a baby. I will take more pictures of this series and see whether i can develop 8×10.

I was browsing the Internet when Viola suddenly woke up about 1 hour early from her nap this afternoon. So, I held her and let her sit on my lap while i was browsing. She saw my notebook and pens. I gave them to her wondering what would she do to them except putting them in her mouth. I showed her how to use pen and paper. To my surprised, she imitated me and started to scribble onto my notepad.

I laughed out loud. It was a very interesting thing to witness. But, i think instead of really scribbling, she was just slamming the pen to the pad. But, i still think it is cute and wanna share with you all.

Viola’s second aunt, aka, my sister, mentioned that Viola’s room is not kiddy at all. So, this past Saturday, we went to IKEA to look for ideas for baby and kid’s bedrooms. We came across these 39cent fish, turtles, squids, and sharks stuff toys. We like the fish and turtles. We got 22 in total. Des thought i was crazy for he thought i would put 22 of those on top of her crib. ha ha ha ha.

Desmon and I have been really good in sticking with her routine. There are ups and downs with that. We just have to sacrifice, or rather postpone our own social life, such as dinner parties or game nights.

Here is the ideal routine that we would like to achieve for Viola:

Therefore, i will have more set time to do my own things, ie. laundry, cook dinner, tidy up house, and browse the Internet ha ha ha.

Viola is experiencing mood swing in such a young age. She can be happy and be cranky in matter of seconds. I have told some people that Viola can really scream or cry. And, their reactions were mostly “Oh, that is common” or “Yeah, my so and so daughters/sons cry pretty loud too”. Not till, one of my friend came and visited us during her bedtime and she realized what i was talking about. She CAN scream and very very persistent, especially on her bedtime. But, luckily, we listened to our friends’ advices and ignored her. And, now, she has been sleeping by herself in her own room for 5 nights.

Oh, and that is the crawling pose. Again, she does NOT know how to crawl yet, just the pose.

1. Viola attended her first wedding party on July 7, 07. It was Steve & Sharon’s wedding. She was content and only cried and screamed couple of times. I was not expected we could have main course and dessert.
2. Had the potty picture for a while now and a bit hesitant to put on the blog, until recently we saw Lucas has one on their blog. http://mortz.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html so, i decided to place one for Viola. She just woke up from her sleep thus explains her expression. ^_^
3. Vancouver’s weather is getting hotter and hotter. Afraid that Viola will get dehydrated, we got her 3 water bottles.
4. Sweat sweat everywhere! We bath her at night before her sleeping time so that she will feel better. Recently, she started to play with her duck. Is she biting the duck or the duck is biting her?

Viola is getting more alert each day, she is able to pose the crawling pose but no idea what to do with it. She would freeze in that pose for a while and suddenly, she would launch herself forward. Kinda scary! Ha ha ha.
