Thank YOU, Bobo
After helping me for more than 5 months, my mom (a.ka Viola’s bobo) had gone back to Indonesia. Her flight was supposed to fly out at 1:50am today, but it was delayed till 3:50am. When we got to the airport, it was delayed again till 5am. Finally, at 5.30, it departed. It is a tiring morning to start. Poor mom!
Did I cry? YES! So badly that Viola cried with me. LOL. I know I don’t need to cry since I am going back myself in less than 20 days. I cried because I miss her presence in the house. I am waiting any moment now that my mom will pop her head in my room and ask whether Viola is asleep or whether she needs a diaper change. I miss seeing her in front of my computer playing spider solitaire. I miss her cooking. I miss spending time with her, to the mall, library, even to the doc’s office. I will always remembre our firsts, such as our first pineapple tarts, her first selfmade sushi roll, my first sewing project, our first US’ action down at the border, so many more.
I miss you mom! and thanks for everything.

My first sewing project
Desmon has bought me a sewing machine not so long ago. This is the first project that I made: pillow case and body pillow a.k.a “lamcim” cases. My mom and I went to Fabricland to purchase the cloth. I love the pink polka dot and I think it suits KK.
It was a bit challanging to figure out the measuremet. Luckily my mom is here and helped me thorughout the whole process. I will need more pillow and body pillow cases since KK likes to hold them in her carseat and while she is sleeping, for sure suck on them as well.
p.s. sometimes I think buying is cheaper than making. ^_^

fish n chips
Scotland has the best fish n chips that I ever have. There is no such thing as one piece or two pieces of fish. It comes in one gigantic very tasty piece. You can’t visit Scotland without daring yourself for haggis and black pudding. Haggis is made mostly of lamb’s internal organ. Black pudding is clogged blood and has very similar texture to haggis. Mussles – gotta love their mussels – huge portion with very taste wine creamy sauce. If you are in Scotland, you can’t go wrong with strolling into a pub, order a lager with fish n chips.
In Canada, people eat with some drinks. In Scotland, people drink with some food. A typical day end is heading to the pub after work. Two or three lagers before ordering a meal (or before going home), eat some fish and chips with two or tree lagers. Then head to another pub to chat, two or three lagers. The past time in Scots is drink. Scots has a very good lager though especially ‘80 shillings’.
Edinburgh is a very beautiful city. I have been quite lucky as well becaue the weather is about 10-15 degrees above average. I mostly stroll in Edinburgh “Old Town”. Visit Edinburgh Castle. Walk the Royal Mile; cobble road that connect the Queen’s mansion with Edinburgh castle, it stretches about one royal mile which is more than one mile since it is royal. (bad joke). Climb Arthur’s Seat; volcanic hill in the middle of the city. Think about it as nature stairmaster. Good exercise after all those lagers and fish n chips.
Today, I am going to journey outside Edinburgh. Now, I gotta run to get some breakfast and join the one-day tour. Hopefully I shall be able to post some beautiful Highland photos after the tour. Stay tune for the photos soon.
Last but not least, there are a lot of “Caffe” here. I have not seen a single “Tea-Vo” yet. Hey, this is where Westies are from – The Scottish Highland.

What we have been up to
- I bought a new sewing machine and have been trying to take up new projects to make. Now, the strawberry shown on the image is not made by me, sadly. It was made by my mom, Viola’s bobo. But, I do know how to make one now. Viola loves it, or rather I love it. I kinda steal it from her thus my mom has to make a smaller one for her, which looks like carrot/chili. ^_^ And, the coolest thing is that my mom put a noise-maker in the strawberries. Thanks to Lian for introducing me to a lovely shop for my sewing machine.
- On Good Friday, we took my mom and Viola to the Marinaside for a walk. Lovely day! We actually spent quite a while on the swing for “someone” did not know how to swing himself. LOL.
- Yesterday, I decided to become a tourist in my own town. I took my mom and Viola to the Vancouver zoo. Viola woke up in time for the lions and tigers feeding. She seems to be fascinated with the tigers or at least, i thought. We will continue to be a tourist till Desmon is back from Scotland. Lucky him! I am sure he will post up his Scotland pictures pretty soon. Miss him dearly!
- Just plain lazy…. he he he.
