Iona Beach-Mar 25

Published by tansuma under viola

ionabeach-text1.jpg

Yesterday, we had a very good weather. Thus we decided to go for a walk. We were looking for a new place to try out and we came across Iona beach, Richmond. It was a very nice 4km walk (8km back and forth). But we only did 2km walk and back because of all the small insects. LOL. But, it was a definitely great place for beautiful scenery and relaxing walk. Click on the image to see the pictures.

p.s. we did not win the lottery ticket ^_^ not even a SINGLE number.

what a day!

Published by tansuma under viola

How have I been doing?

This morning when Desmon stepped outside the house to work, he came back in after 1 minute and:

  • Desmon: “Honey, where is my car?” (the black civic)
  • Elisa: “It is behind the CR-V”.
  • Desmon: “No, it is NOT”

I thought he was pulling my leg and played a long since Desmon wore his grin face as ALWAYS, if you know him, you know what I mean. Anyway, in the pouring rain like today, he opened up an umbrella and walked around the corner. Even my mom thought he was joking initially. But by the time he came back and said that he couldn’t find the car, then, I realized he was not joking around with me.

He reported to 911 non-emergency, and before he got to call the insurance company, police called and said that they found his car around midnight somewhere and the two airbags had been taken out.

That was one!

Around lunch time, I, MYSELF, went to Save-On Food near our home to buy some groceries and lottery ticket (since our car got stole, you see). And, when I was on my way home (still in the parking lot)…

BAM!!!!!

My car was hit by a white Ford Taurus. %^&*(#@%$&#$^#%@!*)

I was fine, no one got hurt…just damage the passenger side door. I could feel the impact even while I am writing this. The other party was an older gentleman. I would not call him a ‘gentleman’, now, would I? He was not hurt either.

Who said lightning could not strike twice, huh?

I wonder the “shoulda, coulda, woulda, and what if”: I shoulda stay at home, I coulda take another exit, and etc.

Now, I better win that $%&*@! lottery. ^_^ (will keep you posted about the ticket).

diaper rash! diaper rash! please disappear!

Published by tansuma under viola

For her whole life now, she has experienced diaper rash. And, now it is getting worse. Even the pediatric seems to be puzzled by it. She said it might be a fungus and has been prescribed Viola cream for months now. Worse, now, Viola has to orally drink 2ml of Nystatin. It smells like Vitamin C but apparently it tastes really bad that whenever it is med time, Viola screams and cries.

Today was the first time I was about to cry just listening to Viola cries and screams from the pain when she pees. My~ what a feeling that was. I would rather feel the pain for her. She is too young to endure any pain. Just simply too young. She should be sleeping like baby-just like in the picture, which is rare now.

Day or night?

Published by tansuma under viola

Viola has decided to call a day as a night and night as a day. Oh boy, how that screws up everyone else sleeping pattern. You can’t wake her up during the day – noises, dog barking, trip to grocery store, and so on and so forth. Btw, is there a saying “never wake a sleeping baby”? But at night, it is a totally different story. You can’t get her sleeping for more than couple hours. Viola must be tired from all those night shifts to sleep so soundly on daytime. I feel for Elisa and her mom – they must be so exhausted. I have excuse of needing to go to work tomorrow. Hehehe. But I do chip in my share on the weekend.
Elisa told me that she has sent out SOS email to her baby group support. Hopefully some helpful hint will come. Thanks in advance for any helpful hints.

Who is your hero?

Published by tansuma under viola

Who comes to mind when you hear the question “who is your hero?”. He/she/it can be dead or alive – who do you look up to as your role model? Is there someone in your family that could take this title? Or is it someone high in political field? Or is it a complete stranger – not sure if this one will fly? Or is it someone that you are stalking?

Have you think of one? Or is this a world without hero?

The hero that comes to my mind when I heard this question is Genghis Khan. I know I know, this is not your typical hero. Most people call him barbarian. But I believe he is a visionary leader. I will share my thoughts in modern day business terms.
He saw a vision and led his men to accomplish it. He managed to unite all the clans in Mongolian desert and showed them his vision (this is entrepreneurship). He embarked his generals to different locations to unite all those under his banner (this is delegate duties, empower  and merger & acquisition). At those time, there is no emails, cell phones, telephones for communication, but Genghis Khan is still manage to conquer quite a bit of land (this is decentralizing?). But you get my point.

And yes, this is Desmon blogging. :)

another hat

My mom is still here helping me out. Thanks pa for that!!! I am sure mama miss you too. She is planning to stay till the end of March or early April. I wish those days won’t come so she can help me forever ^_^.

My mom and I have been looking for stuff to do whenever Viola is sleeping, we bake cake, cook, do laundry, SUDOKU, and knitting. Recently, my mom just finished knitting an afgan (see picture). We went to lots of knitting place to find nice yarn with nice colors. For the hat, I knitted it and my mom crocheted the flower. Kinda nice collaboration.

p.s. i finished reading HONEYMOON by James Patterson.
