Unfortunately~

Published by tansuma under viola

Unfortunately, on Sunday night, right after we came home from the Lim’s family resident, I got a high fever, so did last night. I went and see my doctor today and it is confirmed. I got MASTITIS. UNFORTUNATELY. Yes, do not worry. I still be able to breastfeed Viola. It is actually recommended since the milk needs to be drained.

Anyway, Miwa’s 1st birthday party was awesome. Here is one of the pictures with Lian and Miles, Elly Cie and Ava, Me and Viola, Meg and Miwa, and Miwa’s friend Ariel.

Morning madness

What a way to start our weekend. Viola screamed from the top of her lungs every 1-2 hours this early morning. Fed her, changed her diaper, and burped her, nothing worked. She was just being fussy. Luckily, some miracle happened, she just stopped screaming.

And, as soon as it was daybreak (around 8am), I passed her to my mom (her bobo) so that Desmon and I could get some sleep since we have a birthday party to go to. It is Miwa’s 1st birthday party, and we don’t want to miss it. That will be a good opportunity to introduce Miles, Miwa, and other babies to Viola~

Hopefully I won’t look like zombie later or worse my headache kicks in (crossing my fingers).

Viola’s first high chair and body pillow

  1. Desmon finally had the time to assemble Viola’s high chair on Tuesday. Now, when we are having dinner, she won’t be by herself in her playpen in the living room. She can see us eat!!!
  2. Yesterday, when I woke up from nap with Viola, I found that my hand was stucked. When I looked at my hand, it turned out that Viola had treated my hand as her body pillow. And when I tried to replace my hand with her body pillow, she cried and cried. That was the first time I figured out that she likes body pillow or hugging something to sleep. Very cute~

CAN WOMEN HAVE IT ALL?

Published by tansuma under viola

Should I be a stay home mom or working mom? Can I have it all? Can I work yet be a stay home mom and make sure my home is clean and cozy? Couple days ago, OPRAH brought up this subject: CAN WOMEN HAVE IT ALL. After a long debate between women who are stay home mom and working mom, Dr. Robin solves the debate. She said the objective is not whether we can have it all… because that is not a reality.

The objective is how committed you are to your children. She mentions that you can be a stay home mom yet not there for your children, vice versa, you can be a working mom who always attends your children’s soccer game yet you are always worried about your work or on your blackberry throughout the soccer game. It is the same thing. The main point is just to BE THERE for them.
That is so true~

I guess to answer the question: Can women have it all? I think it really depends on what the “all” is to each individual.

For me, my “all” is a loving and caring husband, a good support system (families and friends), and now Viola.

I think i really have it all. ^_^
