Fireworks-celebration of light

Published by tansuma under family

The time is here again-the celebration of light. This Summer night event has been our thing since the beginning of our relationship and now it seems like a family routine every year. It was Adelia’s first and she was awake half of the show. Not bad at all! She kept saying “mei mei” (pretty). And KK was impressed then started to lose her attention and disturbed her sister.

ice cream night or rather frozen yogurt night

Published by tansuma under family

I bought 2 tubes of frozen yogurt that apparently better than ice cream… taste like ice cream but better for you??? bring it on! To be honest, I cannot really tell the difference neither did Des and my girls. They chomped down the ice cream without a single word, for that 5-10 minutes, my house was quite.

When Valentine’s Day + Lunar New year= double the joy and food

How often do you have Chinese New Year and Valentine Day fall on the same day? Someone smart out there made the calculation but I forgot the number. So wiki it and put it in the comment please. To follow the tradition, Goatham hosted the Chinese New Year party again – great as usual. We enjoyed the party and the companies of our other great close friends. Gong Xi Fat Cai!!!

Top those with having a Winter Olympics in your city.  One crazy Olympic spirited party !!! We actually witnessed history as well on the day.The first gold medal won by Canada in Canadian soil.  Note: this is the third Olympics held in Canada. Go Canada Go !!

Tree lighting

Published by tansuma under family

After Viola’s last class of ballet, we all went to this SuterBrook Village for Christmas Tree lighting. It was a chilly night but we mt lots of people, Serene, Carolyn, Margaret, and Selena. We couldn’t wait till any longer due to the cold, so we left before they lit up the tree. For sure, when we were in the car, the tree was lit already. ^_^

I am loving these type of family events!

we thought about it and we did it!

Published by tansuma under family, videos

Des and I had been talking about making our family room more “homey” especially after talking to the Goathams about investing “love and time” to our home but it was always down on the bottom of our list. However, this past Friday, after my 2nd tooth surgery and was high on drug, I said YES to an idea that Des presented.

Des: “What do you think we head to Home Depot and get some paint for our fireplace???” (was driving after getting grocery)
Me: “Sure! Why not????” (no pain whatsoever then)

For less than $100, we DID it! We love our family room now. Thanks Goathams for your support throughout this project.

It was blueberry pancake morning, the kids picked out all the blueberries in the pancakes and we got to eat the rest of it.

This year Halloween, we are missing the Captain

Published by tansuma under family, friends

The Captain of the ship was in Chicago for a mission, so I am stuck dressing up the 2 kiddos. The Lims invited us to celebrate this day at their place so we went and it was tons of fun, the food, the game and the trick-or-treat. This year was my very first trick-or-treating and i must say, FUN! I would so do it every year. Some houses put out the candies with “help yourself, please take ONE”, Des said could be due to people don’t want to interact with people too much especially with the flu thing going on without killing the whole Halloween. So, kudos to those who did the self serve candies!!!

By the way, it was Des’ idea to be crew of pirates.

can you hear the laughter? i can!!

Published by tansuma under family

I LOVE my family! I never would have thought I would be THIS lucky. But, here I am, a mother of two lovely girls (princesses) and a wife to a “bitter-sweet” husband. It is exactly how I feel at this moment and it feels great.

I don’t really know how to explain the feeling but I have this sudden burst of love towards my family. So, I decided to write on the blog hopefully this entry will remind me of the feeling I have when I am again lost in all the stress of routines. I love you!!!!

Second camping trip of the year

Published by tansuma under adelia, family, outing, viola

Camping with a baby and a toddler – are you nutz? We did it again. This time at Porteau Cove. What a beautiful campsite. Oceanview and we got to enjoy nature lighting and thunderstorm as well. This is two-for-two for getting rained out camping during the forecasted sunny Summer weather.

First outing for KK as a photographer. You will find her “works” in the gallery.

Can’t wait till next year camping … :)
